Great idea; good colors that work well together; more depth of field would bring the bug's wings into focus also
Maker's notes:
This is seems to be a Metallic Epauletted-Sweat Bee (Augochloropsis metallica). They are a solitary species, living on their own, rather than in colonies.
This was shot in a field during the daytime, using flash.
