January is a magical mo. to spend time with Great Grey Owls in Northern Minnesota. I was fortunate to have photographed 3 great greys at 7 different times over a 4 day period. With this owl I was able to watch it hunt for 2 hours. many times flying at me to sit on a dead wood tree trunk. This time with in yards of me flew around a few times and then went to pounce on its prey. It did not at this time make a catch.
