President's Corner - March, 2010

Having a Field Trip Coordinator has worked well! We have been enjoying frequent field trips which will pay off for participating members in practice with their cameras and accumulating good photos for club competition. I am jealous of the great images obtained at Kickapoo Valley Reserve.

Another activity that is providing opportunities for good photography is the volunteering with La Crosse Park & Rec. In 2010, we have already completed the Winter Rec-Fest and the Polar Plunge. Next up – The La Crosse Fitness Fest April 30 – May 2. We will soon ask for volunteers for this event.

Club Elections are coming soon. We will be asking members for nominations for club offices. All members – including first year members are encouraged to thinks about accepting an assignment. President, VP, Secretary, Judging Chair, Back-up Judging Chair, Field Trip Coordinator are all areas to consider.
