Meeting Summary - October 14, 2008
Meeting:
First October meeting - Shirley gave us a recap of the fieldtrip up to the ridge. She passed around a card for the people who attended to sign. Next meeting she will collect 4x6 photos to create a calendar for the owner.
- We discussed the N4C competitions.
- Michelle proposed getting the .com version of the URL to point to the site because the .com is easier to remember.
- Michelle is looking for donated photos for the website header. Photos need to be 760x200 pixels.
- We will be having an N4C planning meeting on Tuesday, October 21st at 6:30pm at Owen's house. Everyone is welcome.
- Terry gave the Oktoberfest photo contest report:
- 463 images entered
- Student category was the 2nd largest after projected.
- Thanks to the sponsors.
- Onalaska Luther is requesting a critique of their photos but it needs to be next Wednesday.
- N4C promo photos need to be in November 11th.
- Need volunteers to run through the triptic. More information coming.
- Next meeting is a competition meeting.
- Shirley is putting in an order at Photographers Edge. If anyone is interested in going in on the order, contact her.
- The Gates are going on a photo shoot tomorrow at 4pm. If you would like to shadow them, contact them.
- Owen asked if anyone is interested in having a swap meet at a meeting and it was suggested that we combine it with a social meeting. No date set, yet.
- The Mississippi Valley Conservancy is having a photo contest.
