Judges' comments:
Good detail in the blacks; accurate skin tones; increasing distance of subjects from the tree might help for a less distracting background; eyes are appear half closed perhaps due to light
Maker's notes:
This is a photo of my grandson and his girlfriend in River Front Park the night of PROM. Camera was handheld Canon 7D Mark II with 18-135mm zoom lens set at 50mm. Exposure mode was aperture priority set at f/5 to get some blur in the background. ISO 400 resulted in a shutter speed of 1/320 sec. Processing was done in Lightroom with the background darkened using an inverted object selection mask, to make the subject stand out.
