Bright spring colors; no distractions; leaves provide a base
Maker's notes:

Image was shot with a Canon 60D mounted on a tripod. Flower lighting was enhanced with a piece of cardboard covered with aluminum foil about 3 ft. about the flower. Flash was bounced from the rear off this board. Camera was set in aperature priority at f/8, ISO400. Resulting exposure was 1/4 sec. Camera was about 2 ft. from flower with 135mm lens.
