This photo was shot in Onalaska on the Green Coulee last summer. There are several colors of Columbine along the trails. I was trying multiple setting with and without flash. The particular image was without flash, laying on my back on the ground. I used Aperture Priority set to f/5.6 to limit depth of field. The side angle was used because the flower is to long to capture with adequate depth of field from below. I did not have a tripod with so had to do what I could hand held. Lens was set to 135mm, spot focus and exposure. Resulting shutter speed was 1/60th at ISO 800.
