Great exposure; bird is very sharp as is the log; nice background
Maker's notes:
I really like the stance and turned head of the bird.
Felt is was more interesting than the standard upright shot. I was lucky to find a spot quite close to the bird. I was using my 150-600mm Tamron on a tripod set at 200mm. Using aperture priority I set the aperture to f/9 to get good depth of field for the whole bird. Being in the woods it was not super bright so I had to up the ISO to 400 to get 1/60 sec. exposure. Got alot of blurry shots when the bird moved. Luckily he held this position.
