Maker's notes:

This photo was more of a challenge than I thought it was going to be. There was almost no ambient light making set up and focusing very difficult. The other issue I was having was that even with a very long exposure It was not exposing the wooded areas and very little of the road. To overcome this I triggered the camera as the car passed and filled a lot of the street and wood with my speed light(after the car had passed) this was a process that I had to repeat multiple times taking mental notes of areas that needed to be filled with light. It ended up being a long process that gave me a great workout as I was running up and down the road firing off my speed light. Exposures lasted between 1 and 3 minutes and finally everything happened in just the right way to give me this image.
