Much detail in this image; wings are beautiful; cropped a little tight on the top
Maker's notes:
On the shores of Delaware Bay, I saw this Gull being uncharacteristically alone. Shortly after it was feeding on this Horseshoe Crab. (Delaware Bay has the world's largest population of Horseshoe Crabs). It was then that I noticed that the Gull was severely handicapped by the hook from a fishing line. A first-hand look at the impact of humans on our wildlife. With my Canon 7D, the settings were: f/10; 1/400 sec.; ISO 100; 120mm; Spot Metering and I was using the Shutter Priority Mode.
