Maker's notes:
This image was shot in the La Crosse Floral Greenhouse during the club shoot. My Canon 7D Mark ii was mounted on a tripod with my 18-135 mm Canon zoom set to 42 mm. Camera was in aperture priority mode set to f/29 to get enough depth of field for the flower. A second variable output battery operated LED light was set a camera right level with the flower about 6 inches away. A camera mounted ring light was on the lens set to provide some left side lighting. Camera was set to ISO-400 with resulted in a shutter speed of 1/4 second. In order to the background as dark as I wanted, I dialed in an exposure bias of -1.3/f. Post processing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop CC.
