Image depicts the massive size of the gorge; beautiful colors; sharp from front to back; interesting sky; the river is too small to be a focal point
Maker's notes:
This image was shot from Artist's Point at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone river on 8/7/2022 at 8:52 AM. This is in the reverse direction of the famous photo of the canyon and the falls taken by Ansel Adams. Camera was hand held in Aperture Priority mode set at f/11 and ISO 100. Resulting shutter speed was 1/40 second. An exposure bias of +1/3 f was used to brighten it in camera. Lens was an 18-135mm canon zoom set to 18 mm. Camera was a Canon 7D Marck II.
