Hi all,

Hopefully you've been getting the chance to go out, enjoy the weather, and take some great photos! With a little over a month until our meetings start back up, I wanted to reach out with information on our first meeting so you can get it on your calendars.

CLUB PICNIC

As is tradition, we are planning to start the year with a club potluck picnic! The potluck picnic will be held at the gun shelter at Myrick Park on September 13th at 5:30pm. This is a great way to catch up with friends and meet new prospective club members, and we are planning on a photo shoot in the marsh afterwards. Please bring your own dinnerware and a dish for the potluck. A club membership is not required to attend, so even if you aren't currently a member, you're more than welcome to come! If you know anyone else who might be interested in the club, send them an invite as well! A map to the park can be found at here or by searching Myrick Park Gun Shelter, La Crosse on Google Maps.

N4C CONVENTION 2022

The N4C convention in September of 2021 ended up being cancelled, but the convention for 2022 is on! It's scheduled to be held in Duluth/Superior on September 22-25. If you're interested in learning more and registering, you can check out their website here. If multiple club members are going, we might also be able to work out some carpooling as well for those who are interested.

DONATION FROM JEN SHORT

Jen reached out a few weeks ago looking to donate an art table and mat cutter to our club members from her parents (Robert and Linda Scarth). I was able to meet her and pick them up last weekend, and I'm hoping to find a good way for club members to borrow and share them, providing many club members with the opportunity to print and mat photographs if they don't already own one! For now, if you are interested in using it, please email me (Austin Miller) and we can work something out! If you're interested in checking out Robert and Linda's work, here are links to their website and book.

Hope you're all doing well, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the picnic!
