Happy New Year to everyone. It was great to see several of you at the Rotary Lights Shoot. It was a good night until it started to rain about 8:00 PM.
Kickapoo Valley Reserve Winterfest Shoot this Saturday Jan 8th.
Many of us have attended and shot KVR Winter Festival in the past. A great location for winter photography and winter events. It is a wonderful family event that highlights fun winter activities. Activities may include sledding, skiing, archery, snow sculpture, ice cave hikes, chain saw carving, wildlife talks & hikes, face painting, horse-drawn bobsled rides, snowshoe exhibit, Tri-state Malamute Club Sled Dog Race and weight pull. Dress warm but take comfort in their warming facilities.
Activities subject to change due to weather conditions. David Halverson our events coordinator is planning on attending provided driving conditions are favorable. January Meetings
Our first January Meeting is Tuesday, January 11th. The Fundamentals Program will be Minimalist Photography presented by Austin Miller and John Zoerb. The main program will be January Competition Results and a PSE hint hosted by Sue Retzlaff.
The second meeting is Tuesday, January 25th. The Fundamentals Program will be An Introduction to HDR presented by Austin Miller. For the main program we will have a guest speaker, Renee Retzlaff, a professional nature photographer from RMB Graphics Design and Photography. You can view some of Renee's work on her website at https://rmb.photoshelter.com . Renee will be showing some of her work and talking about "things she wished she knew when starting nature photography". Renee is an experienced educator and is looking forward to meeting the club.
Both meetings will be available on Zoom. Watch your email for connect information just before the meeting.
La Crosse Area Camera Club Lunch Meet-Up
Come join the fun with an opportunity to socialize and talk photography at the next Lunch Meet Up. We had a lively and interesting conversation on mirrorless camera's last week.
