Elections – we will be voting on the officers for the 26 -27 camera club year at tonight’s meeting. Anyone can run and can be added to the list below. Below is a list of the current board members running for the Executive Board

EOY Banquet: 
Will be at same location as last year's Banquet - Drugen’s in Mid July.
Will be sending a separate e-mail mid week with the date, cost, where to send the payment, and menu.

2026 N4C Convention - "Capture the Spirit of the West" - Oct. 8-11, 2026, Medora, North Dakota

Bryan Hansen Private Workshop – Sept 2027
We currently have 3 members planning to head up to Grand Marais in Sept 2027 (yes, 2027) for a 4-day photo workshop. 
Dates would be Saturday, Sept 25th - Tuesday, Sept 28th, 2027. Those dates do not include travel days. 
We would be working with Bryan Hansel on the 25th and 26th, then doing 2 additional days of "Self Guided" photography in the area around Grad Marais. 
Photo opportunities would include a Milky Way shoot, fall colors, and waterfalls.  
The cost for the 2 days with Bryan Hansel will be based on how many members are interested in joining us, but the cost per attendee would be reasonable. Once we get a general idea of who would be interested, we can then get a projected cost per person for the 2 days we spend with Bryan. 
Yes, 2027 is a long way off, but photography tours tend to fill up a year in advance, so we want to make a commitment to Bryan as soon as possible.

Sister City Photo Exchange Project
Currently working on the idea of fun photo exchange project with one of La Crosse’s Sister City’s – Epinal, France.
The idea is to exchange photos for 6 different “Themes” about our respective cities. Each “Theme” would require 5 photos for a total of 30 photos. The exchange would take place over a 6-month period.
We would have a digital display the photos at our monthly meetings.
Concluding the photo exchange would be the possibility of printing the photos and setting up a display somewhere in La Crosse – details to be yet worked out.
Planning on having a brief discussion at the Tue meeting on what some fun and interesting  “Themes” should be.

Next LACC Photo Competition – September 2026. 
Sue is putting together the schedule for the 26 – 27 season and will post once it’s completed.  
 
New Book Owen Johnson, a past club member
Owen send this to the club and asked if we could post in our meeting announcement:
You might remember me, Owen Johnson, from when I was active in LACC. I now live in Massachusetts. I have written a novel “Where Three Rivers Meet” using the pen name OJ Johnson. 
The cover features a photo taken by Jerry Weigel.

The club has a matt cutter which is available for any member to use. Please e-mail or call Steve and I’ll bring it to Tuesday’s meeting.
