General Information

The La Crosse Area Camera Club is a group of diverse people with a common interest: improving our photography skills. We shoot nature, people, places, still life, abstract, and more. Some of us have sold photos, some had never shown our photos to others before joining. We have members who have been shooting for decades and some who are still learning to use their cameras. Our members are young and old, male and female. The only requirement is an interest in photography.

We primarily meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays, September through May, at the Black River Community Center on Rose St. (Next to Perkins) . We skip the 4th Tuesday in December due to the holidays and often add the 4th Tuesday in August as "getting to know you" meeting. During the summer we have the banquet, the picnic, and various field trips but no regular meetings as many members travel or are otherwise busy while the weather is nice.

We start most meetings with an educational pre-program which is followed by the business meeting and then the main program of the evening. Half of our main programs are the viewing of the competition results and the other half are educational presentations, hands on workshops, other other interesting photography related events.
