We have been asked by the women of Rotary After Hours to shoot The Ugly Sweater 5K.
They have been working hard to make the 2021 Ugly Sweater 5k a family-friendly and festive event. The race begins at 4:15 pm in Myrick Park and racers will run/walk through the La Crosse marsh trails under sparkly lights. The race ends at Riverside Park at Rotary Lights. An award ceremony will take place in the heated tent at Rotary Lights, and will have plenty of ugly sweaters, holiday lights, and cheer!
A number of club members shot this event two years ago and it was great fun. The costumes are just incredible. It is possible to shoot both the start and finish by driving between locations while the runners are on the course. I (Brian) also got some great shots along the trail last time. If you shoot the event, please bring your photos on a CD, DVD or USB stick to the Dec. 14th meeting and I (Brian) will get them to the organizers.
