Our Next meeting will be Tuesday, March 24th 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Black River Beach Community Center, 1433 Rose Street, La Crosse, WI 54603.
Agenda:
- The Fundamentals Program will be a short combination Quiz / Presentation by Steve M on still life flash lighting. The format will be to show a photo and get input from the members on what techniques were used to create the photo. Will then show the setup used for each photo, with an explanation on why the setup was used and some of the challenges faced.
- Business / Announcements
- Main Program will be a “Hands On” still life photo session by Kristi and Kim. They will have several “Still Life” items to photograph, but feel free to bring anything you want to photograph.
- We will be working on setting up the items for “Artistic” results.
- Bring your camera, tripod, remote shutter release (if you have one), and any special item you wish to photograph.
- Brian N (Cannon) and Steve M (Nikon) will be available to help with camera settings.
- Any other members who can help out with camera settings will be much appreciated.

April Photo Competition:
- Images are due no later than 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 5th
- Categories include People (Park & Rec supported events), Nature, Creative, B&W Prints
- Park and Rec Supported events: Pettibone Haunted Mile, Erickson Bowl, Polar Plunge, Flashback Freeze Figure Skating
- Judging is on Sunday, April 12th, results on Tuesday, April 14th.

- Dropping off prints:
- Bring prints to a meeting
- Drop Off at First Congregational Church, La Crosse: Mondays 10am to 8pm; Tuesday-Thursday 10am to 5pm.
- If you need to drop off the print on the same weekend they are due –
- Drop Off at Sue Retzlaff's, 1415 Sand lake Rd, Holmen. Fri and Sat 9am to 7pm; or by special arrangement. Use the garage service door.
- As always, the digital copy of the prints must be entered on the website by the Sunday, 5pm deadline.
LACC Mat Cutter
The club has a mat cutter which is available for any member to use. Please e-mail or call Steve and I’ll bring it to Tuesday’s meeting.

To enter images or prints in competition you need to be a club member.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to photograph the Polar Plunge or the Figure Skating events.
- Please submit your photos to the Park District -
- Bring them on a USB stick to the receptionist at Black River Beach with a note or envelope that they are for Kat
- Provide a link to a photo sharing site – Google drive, SmugMog, etc where they can be downloaded. E-mail link to craughk@cityoflacrosse.org
- Photos need to have a timestamp

- We had a number of our members attend last year and found it very beneficial. Let’s get a group heading up there this year.
