LACC Members and Friends,
A couple of follow-up items that were to be covered at the last meeting which was cancelled due to a scheduling oversight.

Mark Devine was to be the guest speaker at the last meeting…
We are working with Mark to lock in a date when Mark can return to give his presentation.
 
Upcoming Workshops:
Date change for the Image Analysis Workshop –
New Date - Wed, Dec 3rd 6PM – 9PM

  • The workshop will be an interactive Zoom Workshop Hosted by Heide Stover with the Professional Society of America - PSA
  • zoom link to follow
  • This is a 2 - 3 hour workshop helping members learn how to critique and understand images
  • Can have up to 8 active participants, there are 3 members signed up - Additional members can watch
  • Everyone attending will need to provide a photo for analysis – additional info to follow

 Fundamentals Workshop Sat, Dec 6th, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the BRCC
Dec 6th workshop agenda:

  • We will start with a quick review of Aperture and Shutter Priority Modes which we covered at the last workshop.
  • Bring your questions, experiences, challenges, and photos when trying to use the different modes we discussed at the last workshop
  • New material will include “Let’s Talk Lenses” - an interactive discussion on the basics of
    • Lenses
    • Filters
    • Lens Adaptors
  • Please bring you
    • Some sort of lens – does not matter which lens you bring
    • Camera
    • Tripod – useful, but not necessary

Next scheduled Fundamentals Workshop is Sat, January 10th,  9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the BRCC
 
Date change for the Rotary Lights Shoot – Brian Narveson
New Date - Tuesday, Dec 30th at 6:30

  • Meet under the big light tree by the entrance
  • Additional information to follow

 Photos needed to display at the Black River Community Center early Jan 2026

  • Preferably Park District themed, but not necessary
  • Recommended print size 8 x 10 to 13 x 19.
  • Framed or matted
  • Must have a wire on the back to hang from
  • Bring the pictures on the 1st Jan meeting

 1st December Meeting, Tuesday, December 9th, 6:30 PM – 8:30PM

  • Fundamentals Program will be “Rotary Lights Fundamentals” by Brian Narveson
  • Main Program will be competition results by Sue and the trio of judges
