LACC Members and Friends,
The 2nd Feb meeting will be Tuesday, Feb 24th , 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Pizza Ranch, 3130 Chestnut Place, La Crosse, WI 54601.
This will be our annual Pizza Party, and we will be meeting in the Party Room.
Joni Welda will be doing a presentation on Wildlife Photography.
Everyone must pay for their meal on the way in.
There will be no Zoom link for this meeting.
Don’t forget about Kim and Kristi’s Abstract Photo Challenge:
Submit up to 10 photos.
Due April 20, 2026.
Photos will be shown at the May 12, 2026 meeting.

March Photo Competition:
Images are due no later than 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 1st
Categories include People, Open, Challenge – Fungi, and Color Prints.
Judging is on Sunday, March 8th, results on Tuesday, March 10th.

- Dropping off prints:
- Bring prints to a meeting
- Drop Off at First Congregational Church, La Crosse: Mondays 10am to 8pm; Tuesday-Thursday 10am to 5pm.
- If you need to drop off the print on the same weekend they are due –
- Drop Off at Sue Retzlaff's, 1415 Sand lake Rd, Holmen. Fri and Sat 9am to 7pm; or by special arrangement. Use the garage service door.
- As always, the digital copy of the prints must be entered on the website by the Sunday, 5pm deadline.
Park District Events to Photograph:
There are two Park District events which need to be photographed:
- Polar Plunge – Saturday, March 7, 2026 – at Black River Beach – Will update as we get closer to the event.
- Everyone should be registered to photograph the Polar Plunge:
- People can register using this link: https://outlook.office365.com/book/Book-PolarPlungeVolunteers@cityoflacrosse.org/
- Then they will receive an email confirmation with all of the information. They can stop by anytime the week of March 2 to pick up a packet that will include parking pass, all-access name badge, how to upload photos, and day of schedule.
- If they are not able to come during the week, no problem. They will just not receive the parking pass. Then they can check in at the volunteer table inside the tent to pick up the rest of the information.

There are 2 methods of getting the finished photos to the parks district.
- Bring them on a USB stick to the receptionist at Black River Beach with a note or envelope that they are for Kat
- Provide a link to a photo sharing site – Google drive, SmugMog, etc where they can be downloaded. E-mail link to craughk@cityoflacrosse.org
