Retired (2019) National Park Service historian (Ph.D. ASU). Served in Alaska, Intermountain, and Midwest regions. Became interested in photography when I got my first SLR (Fujica) in 1978, added a Wista 4x5 with Rodenstock lenses, and then a Canon EOS SLR film camera. Now work in digital only. Moved to LaCrosse October 2020. (my son and dil live here). I like to shoot wildlife, birds and animals. Especially like to frame a creature within a larger landscape, but I like close-up work, too. I enjoy driving around looking for wildlife. I do cabin camping in the Black Hills, and in northern Minnesota.
